Komalpreet Kaur

Hello! My name is Komalpreet Kaur (she/her/hers), and I am the Government Relations Director. I was born and raised in Queens, New York and moved to Olathe, Kansas in 2017. At KU, I am majoring in Political Science and Business Administration with a minor in Intelligence and National Security Studies. Previously in Senate, I was a First Year Senator serving on the Finance Council. On campus, I am the Communications Chair for the South Asian Student Association and a member of Phi Alpha Delta. Additionally, I am the founder of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Eye of An Immigrant (EOAI), that help’s immigrant families build a legal pathway to citizenship. EOAI recently launched a podcast, From Home to Here, to share immigrant stories and I have the honor of being our primary host! Within the community and beyond, I am passionate about youth involvement in local government, shifting the narrative about immigrants, and advocating for religious minorities. On the weekends, I’m a barista at a local Olathe coffeehouse- Pour. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
