Bayn Schrader

Bayn Schrader is pursuing his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas, specializing in radar signal processing. A Lawrence native, Bayn earned both his M.S. (2025) and B.S. (2023) in Electrical Engineering from KU. He is a member of the IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu honor society, where he served as social chair for the Gamma Iota chapter in 2022-23. Throughout his graduate studies, he has interned with the U.S. Naval Research Lab, where he plans to continue working full-time upon completion of his doctorate. His current research interests include dual-function radar-communications systems, fully digital beamforming and array processing techniques, and radar waveform design and optimization.
